Ophidiophobia soars to greater heights

Ever heard of the upcoming movie starring Samuel L Jackson called Snakes on a Plane?

If you caught an entertainment piece on CNN recently, you’d probably heard about this summer thriller set to release in the US this August.

The hype began when screenwriter Josh Friedman posted an entry on his blog last year. With news that Samuel L Jackson was confirmed as lead actor, more interest began to build up on the Internet. Today, Google “Snakes on a Place” and you’ll find thousands of entries dedicated for a film long before its official release date. Fan sites, parodies, merchandise or whatever works inspired by the film, discussions and so on - the online world has turned it into a hit!

This may sound crazy but the Internet has helped hype up a film in the past before. Remember The Blair Witch Project back in 1999?

Read more about Snakes on a Plane on Wikipedia or check out this blogger’s site Snakes on a Blog.

With all the hype, I hope the movie will be good even though it’s a bit tacky. Well, we’ll see if the film ever gets to screen here.
